I Dance because...
I Dance because it's a release. I take classes to be better than only myself. I'm do not take classes to put others down. I encourage others to do everything in their power to dance to only God's glory. Sometime's it's not easy to remember who you're dancing for. When you do, it's something else completely. It's not doing more turns than the girl next to you. It's doing more than you did last time. It's not being on the most advanced level. It's being on the level where you can genuinely work your hardest, to bring the most glory to Our Father. I Dance because it's fun. The rush of walking out on stage to show what God is capable of blessing his people of. The thrill of getting told that you've done well. It's not going to more classes so that my friends will be impresses. It's going to more classes so that my teachers and myself can know that I am doing my best, even if I'm not the best in the class. I Dance because dance is expression. It takes everything you stress over like homework, tests, appearances, and drama and it melts all the stress away. It is your one focus. Jump higher, balance longer, and get more turns in. Not make all A's, eat healthy, and dress well. I Dance because it's a chance to show my true colors. It's a chance for the music to inhabit your soul and to take over your body. It's a chance to say what you're thinking without saying a word. I Dance because it's good for me: mentally and physically. It makes you stronger. It makes you more agile. It helps you do more. I Dance because I can. Not everyone can get up and do things like most people can. Why would you sit on the couch your whole life when God gave you this incredibly marvelous way to get around. I don't mind that dance takes time. I mind when dance doesn't take up some of my time. It takes effort, and no matter how hard or miserable a class is, that's okay because it ends. I Dance not for any one else, but for myself and for God.

{book} Review #4
hello my lovelies! how are you? i'm doing much better than i was yesterday (refer back to "random life update #1). today i think i'm going to the beach and i'm going to have Starbucks on the beach (which if you know me are two of my very favorite things!!). also i'm wearing a very cute and comfortable outfit that makes me feel good about myself. so i'm good. ANYWAYS. today: Trials of Apollo // The Hidden Oracle. grab yourself your favorite beverage and let's begin. BEWARE OF SPOILERS!!
i thoroughly enjoyed this book. i REALLY liked it. one of my favorite things about this book were the chapter titles. the never failed to make me laugh. they also introduced the chapter and you could see the title play out in every chapter (which i thought was clever and fun). i enjoyed the beginning and end of this book very much. the middle lost me a little bit. it got kind of boring. i feel like he did manage to pick the exciting-ness of it back up toward the end. i think that apollo was an excellent character because of his background as a god. and i really liked Meg's character UNTIL SHE WAS EVIL LIKE WHAT? like dam it Nero!! (aha did you catch that PJO reference??) i do not regret reading this book at all i thought it was a great story that was very well written. 4.9/5 for sure. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
thanks for reading!!😜 -Olivia

random life update #1
hi everyone! sorry my post is late today. i don't really have anything in particular that i want to post about, so maybe today we'll just have random post. i'm kind of tired today, and i'm just a little sad. i'm trying to keep my head up though. i'm currently drinking a detox water that has lemon and cucumber in it. it's really good. i like it. i'm going to ballet class tonight, hopefully that will make me feel better. tomorrow is Thursday (where i am) and i can't think of anything in particular that i have to do. i'm trying to post daily. i'm also trying to decide what to title this post, and i'm thinking maybe something like "random life update". and i'm totally prepared for this post to not be as popular. you guys really seemed to like review #2. is that because it was a book review or because it was about Harry Potter? leave the answer in the comments if you have one, i'd like to know. what other kinds of posts would you guys like to see from me? i could do a couple of food posts if that would be interesting. i could do some more makeup posts, maybe some that aren't reviews. i've definitely got more book reviews coming. 2 more for sure, maybe three or four. i'm currently listening to my spotify playlist "recents" (my spotify is down below check it out). what do you guys know about pokemon go? i tried to play it but i think it's dumb and difficult (granted i was probably doing it wrong). leave your opinions about the game in the comments. i'm gonna go now. thanks for reading!!

Review #3
hello all you lovely people, and welcome. i am coming to you today to explain one particular thing which you can find in the description of my blog. today i'm talking about my flesh. but let's call it skin for now. i have extremely sensitive skin. it's not okay.
so today i'm going to tell you how i care for my sensitive skin. now mind you i have tried it all. ALL. but really i've only recently found whats works for me best. and that is the brand Simple.
Simple skincare works really well for me. their products are made for sensitive skin, and don't have any harsh ingredients (dyes, perfumes, etc.). i use them pretty religiously, and they go wherever i go. they recommend morning and night usage, so here is how i use them.
morning: night:
1) begin with micellar water on a cotton pad 1) use micellar cleansing wipe
2) use moisturizing facial wash at very end of shower 2) use moisturizing facial wash
3) use replenishing moisturizer after shower 3) use replenishing moisturizer
so there you have my skincare routine! thanks for reading, friends💛 -Olivia
disclaimer: i have not been payed to say any of this. it is my honest opinion.

beaches vs mountains
hello there ladies and gents, today i am straying from my topics as of late (most of which have been reviews) and delving into what i feel like is quite a serious debate. seeing as i'm very passionate about this particular topic, lets begin.

beaches or mountains? its like the two types of people in the world.
guess which i prefer, and personally think all people should accept as the clearly better option! BEACHES!
and heres why:
1) the sounds of the ocean. so beautiful, relaxing and natural.
2) the breeze. keeps you cool, and brings the smell of salty air. ahhhhh, yes.
3) the warm sand between your toes. soft and warm to the touch. soooo soothing.
4) the view. my word the view. the endless ocean meeting the horizon, and continually kissing the shore. lovely, isn't it?
5) the opportunities: the beach walks where the cool water gently laps against your feet, the tanning when the warm sun relaxes all of your muscles and at the same time leaves you a beautiful golden bronze color (remember your sun screen and you wont burn), the chance to wear super super cute swimsuits👙
so there you have it. the sole reason for people to like mountains is so that the beaches aren't as crowded. comment which person you are: beach or mountain?
much love, beaches! 💋 -Olivia

Review #2
hi guys! back at it again with the reviews. let's go. (also, i just got back from ballet so i'm hungry and someone please bring me food.) BEWARE THERE WILL BE SPOILERS!!
okay today im going to talk about some books. i have finished two books in the span of the past two days, which might i add is totally exhilarating and also emotionally very overwhelming. i'm only going to talk about one right now though. i am talking about the harry potter series, and specifically the half blood prince (which i just finished). now. i don't even know where to start. holy. Hera. okay, so this book ripped my soul in two (see what i did there ;p). the beginning, was frankly, sucky. i thought that as the books continued she lost that touch of magic that she had where in every book she wrote, your attention was completely and utterly grasped from the very beginning (i feel like she lost this around GoF). it took me slowly pursuing through the boring first half of the book, to even get to anything slightly exciting. once i got to the last quarter of the book, i couldn't put it down. it was so capturing. i think that she did an excellent job of having multiple mysteries slowly unfolding throughout long and page turning chapters. i thought that if there was any character development in this book, it was in Ginny. and i loved Ginny's character in this book. i like that there was more of her. also, i am a HUGE #Hinny shipper so that was OH SO EXCITING for me. however, i really do think that she focused a lot more on the plot, than the characters who were carrying it out. and oh my soul and body when snape did the unspeakable to Dumbledore... i don't think i've ever been so astonished. i got SO ticked. y'all don't know. i like the little cliff hanger at the end, that will lead us to the deathly hallows. okay, i think that brings this to a close.
thanks for reading ladies and gents <3 <3 -Olivia
p.s. i still have no food. ugh WHY ME

Review #1
hi guys, i just feel like i have a lot to talk about. so imma jump right in. you should be prepared that there are going to be a lot of these. here we go.
so today im talking about the "lights camera lashes mascara" by tarte cosmetics. over all i think i would give this mascara a 4/5. i really like the formula. it applies really nicely and smoothly to the lashes. it doesn't clump, which is good. i have it in whatever their darkest black is (i don't remember the name) and it goes on nice and dark, and is very true to color. where packaging is concerned, its great, and i love it. it does have a nice lengthening factor, which is always good. i don't have the waterproof one so i can't talk much about that. it's a nice simple wand that generally does its job. my only complaint about the mascara is that it does not lift or curl the lashes. like i said, it does lengthen them, but it kind of just leaves them long and flat. so that is why i only gave it four, because you have to curl your lashes before you use that mascara, which makes it ever so slightly more difficult. its really good to use if you're doing super natural look. ultimately: i like it and would recommend it.
thanks for reading guys : ) much love!
