DIY school stuff!

So everyone knows it's coming.  Back to school.  So I'm letting you in on how I get ready for school to start back.  Lets start with back to school shopping.  It takes quite a while to go to the store and get stuff for school.  I know, that makes me sound really lazy, and I am, but I'm also busy.  So it's easier for me to do back to school shopping online.  Now if its like makeup or snacks, I will get up and go get it.  Pencils, binders, composition books, and even backpacks can all easily be purchased online.  Sometimes its even cheaper.  Once I receive said supplies, I can DIY them.  For my notebooks I just printed out or made binder templates and slid them into the front of my binders.  On other binders I took my favorite quotes from songs, books, or my favorite people and wrote them in different colors on paper, then slid that paper in to my binder.  The last thing you can do is take labels and put them on folders.  Write whatever subject you need that folder for on the label.  That's all I've got!  I know it was kind of a short list. Sorry about that. Thanks for reading!!

Review time!!!

Alright guys lets just jump right in.  So recently I ran out of like everything.  Meaning I went to Walmart, Publix, and CVS and picked up a few things.  I have combination/sensitive skin, so keep that in mind.  I got the Neutrogena oil free acne stress control triple action toner, the knock off (Publix brand) medicated apricot scrub, and the Neutrogena oil free acne wash pink grapefruit facial cleanser.  All of these products cost somewhere between $5 and $10.  Bottom line none of these products worked for me.  The Neutrogena toner did fine the first night, but the second night my face looked like I had an awful sunburn (which I did not) and felt like it was on fire.  The burning sensation and rash only occurred around and on my nose, not my cheeks, chin, or forehead.  So I dont know what caused that, but I didn't use it again afterwards.  So I dont recommend this product if you have sensitive skin.  The Publix brand apricot did a fine job of exfoliating, but broke me out in the process.  Also I found it to be very drying, even with moisturizer.  The Neutrogena facial cleanser didn't break me out or give me a rash.  However I didn't notice my acne going away, and I was under the impression that it was supposed to when using that cleanser.  It also smelled quite strongly of grapefruit, and said smell was not to my liking.  I have heard that the other products from the Neutrogena pink grapefruit line are better, but I haven't tried any of them.  Once again, bottom line, none of these products worked for me. I would not repurchase any of these products, or recommend them to people without telling them my experience first.  I hope this review was helpful!

Summer must-haves!

Hey guys. So wow it's summer! I really dont have any excuses this time for not posting other than travel, and i did do a lot of traveling.  So im coming to you with a long list of summer must-haves!!

Okay you need books. Soo many books. I really love John Green, Kiera Cass, and Rick Riordan's books.  Soo much. I highly recommend them.

Next you need summer beauty items, in particular: Chapstick with spf, bb/cc cream, waterproof mascara, and sooo many ponytail holders.

Then you need cute and comfy summer clothes. I recommend rompers and sandals.

Next you need music! And to listen to your music you need headphones or earbuds. my like top three songs right now are probably "what you wanted" One republic, "Bang Bang" by Jessie J, Ariana Grande, and Nicki Minaj, and "rather be" by Clean Bandit ft. Jess Glynne.

Okay y'all those are my main must-haves!! Talk to you later!

Random beauty tips

1. when putting on chapstick or even lipstick, instead of rubbing it on DOT IT ON then rub your lips together.  you'll get the same moisturized feel, without it picking up dry flaps of skin on your lips.

2. ever feelin like a different hair style?  use a curling wand to wrap your hair around it as tightly as possible next to the root.  once you've taken your hair off the curling wand hold it on the root so it can cool.  when you let it go it'll be shorter than usual.

3.  in order to make a diy crop top just either cut off the bottom or to keep the same t shirt just tie it with a ponytail holder.

5 minute easy school makeup

Hi there, i'm gonna try and get two posts up a week so here's the second!
This is some easy makeup that shouldn't break you out for school.
Start off with a bb/cc cream and blend it in with a tool of your choice.  Next fill in your eyebrows.  If you dont have something specifically for brows use an eyeshadow that matches the shade of your brows.  The next step is concealer, under eye and blemish.  Once that's blended out, blend in some loose power with a brush.  Loose powder gives a little extra coverage and lasts longer.  If you're oily like me focus the powder on your T-zone.  Then grab some cream blush and blend it into the apples of your cheeks with your fingers.  For eyes just blend a thin to medium layer of bb/cc cream onto your lids, using your fingers.  Then curl your lashes and apply a mascara of your choice.  As for lips, go with a pinky nude color.
Hey now you're ready to go and it only took you five minutes!!  So anyway thank you for reading and i hope this was helpful and enjoyable!

More favorites!!!

You guys know the drill... Hey sorry i haven't posted in a while! I've been sick and really busy!  I missed blogging so here i am again!  Any way i was gonna tell ya about some of my recent favorites.  I've really been loving sun dresses for he days when it warm enough! It's great because you can dress them up or down! Flats, a braid, and a cardigan for school, or heels, a wristlet, and a low bun to make it more formal.  As far as makeup goes i've been loving bb creams and that kinda thing.  They give just enough coverage so it doesn't look like you just rolled out of bed, but is light enough that its quick and looks effortless.  Then theres food.  I have no trouble teling you what's good there.  First of all i've been loving arizona tea (there might be some sitting beside me as im typing).  And also i've been loving fruit a lot more lately.  It just gives you so much energy, and helps you get through the day!  As far as random goes, i've loved my bike lately. Any way that's it, and it was probably a pathetic excuse for a post but uh... ya! :)  Bye y'all!

Olivia Joy :)

P.S.  I'm really proud of myself because today my nails matched my dress! I wore lots of yellow!
